Happy 50th Birthday C-172!

The folks over at AOPA are clebrating the 50th anniversary of the first Cessna 172. You’ll need to be a member to read all the articles, though. Since I’ve flown almost nothing but the ol’ 172 I’ll certainly raise a glass and toast to it’s success.

Your Pilot In Command

I got my private pilot certificate in Feb 2002, and my instrument rating exaclty one year later in 2003. I fly out of Montgomery Field, San Diego, renting Cessna 172s, 182s, and Piper Archers from PlusOneFlyers. I also have high performance and complex endorsements.

Currently, I have approximately 285 hours of PIC time, including 375 landings, and a monster 7 hours of actual instrument time. March 2008
